hello. please explain, can we are use freertos in commercial project?

licensing

I have changed the wording slightly to try and make it more clear: "FreeRTOS is licensed under a modified GPL and can be used in commercial applications under this license. An alternative commercial license option is also available in cases that: The GPL is not suitable for your application. You wish to receive direct technical support. You wish to have assistance with your development." please see http://www.freertos.org/a00114.html for more information. Regards.

hello, thanks for reply, but it is not yet clear. we are want to use freertos without modifications in our device. so can we are to use it?

licensing

YES – provided that: +Every copy of the combined work is accompanied by a written statement that details to the recipient the version of FreeRTOS used and an offer by yourself to provide the FreeRTOS source code should the recipient request it. +The combined work is not itself an RTOS, scheduler, kernel or related product. +The combined work is not itself a library intended for linking into other software applications.

Funny … those question I wanted to ask some minutes ago. It’s good to search first for a already existing answer. We’re also are thinking about a commercial product containing FreeRTOS. So as I understand you, we have to give our customer a paper, telling them we’re using FreeRTROS version xyz and we’ll give them a copy of FreeRTOS source code, if they ask us ? I guess this would be ok to us.

….and contribute back to Richard any changes you make to the kernel code (not your application code), then yes.

I think an important point also is that you can charge the customer a reasonable (usually small) fee for making the FreeRTOS disk that they can request.
